Life of a Kindergartner

We are now enrolling for the 2021 – 2022 school year! Our kindergarten classes are both open for new students. How do you know if your child is ready to enter kindergarten? Our Vector team will take you through a day in the life of a kindergartener at Vector Prep & Arts Academy. Principal Lay as she introduces part of our Vector Prep team. Follow Ms. Morales through the campus into her kindergarten room and shows examples of our core knowledge curriculum. A few subjects they touch upon are English/language arts, math, science and other stem related activities.

A few indicators for your child’s kindergarten readiness includes:

• Obey simple rules
• communicate his/her needs
• work independently
• interact well with other children
• dress and use the restroom independently
• say and write their name
• hold a pencil
• identify colors
• familiarity of the alphabet
• recognize basic sight words
