She teaches the 2nd grade STEAM class. She believes that children are the future and as an educator, "it is both a privilege and honor to be apart of their learning process. I believe that an important factor as a teacher is to nourish and grow the student minds and encourage them to stretch their thinking."
She has been teaching for 4 years. Her favorite part of teaching is when a student has that "aha" moment and they take what you have just taught them and apply it. It is so much fun to see your students take that idea and stretch themselves! She spends time with her family when she's not teaching and checking out secondhand bookstores. Her hobbies are card-making, cookbook collecting and seashell collecting.
She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Her strengths lie in her curiosity and interest in a wide selection of areas. Her knowledge lies in oil painting, print-making, ceramic, metal and mixed media. She focuses on education to find each student's talents and interests within the field of art. She plans to introduce students to various majors and careers within the field of art through the techniques and skills in the classroom.
